John Quinn gave a speech at the December 10, 2011 meeting of the South Dakota Tea Party Alliance on the American economy.
Quinn is the Campus Executive Officer of the Rapid City campus of National American University. He has also been a professional investor for nearly 44 years, 28 years of which were spent on Wall Street and in Asia, heading units for some of the world's largest financial corporations in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. He has done business in more than 70 countries and appeared in the media on six continents. He still selectively advises certain high net worth families on their investments.
Dr. Quinn has degrees from Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, New York University, and the University of Hong Kong. He has written three books, coauthored another, and will publish his fifth book, on the history of financial crises in the United States, in the summer of 2012.
He has been active in American politics since 1960, and worked twice on Capitol Hill, and once for the White House.
