I was once in Birmingham and at the end of my tether. I had put a hosepipe in the boot of my car and I was looking for a place to quietly gas myself. I got out in Mosely and bumped into a friend who asked me to go and see Earl Okin with her. It was a beautiful evening of music and laughs. I didn't gas myself and I never looked back. Thank you earl.

I was very fortunate to do a gig with this guy at the weekend. He is very slick, original, very funny and truly professional. I was behind him during his show, so didn't get to see any of the facial expressions, but seeing them here on youtube, I fell about laughing. As a very experienced trumpet player of 44 years, it is slightly annoying that Earl can sound better on the trumpet than me without actually playing it!!!! It's a shame I didn't get a chance to have a chat with Earl after his show.
