I thought I had rich cousins growing up, they were always one generation of Nintendo ahead of me. They lived in Prince Edward Island (gonna go back to visit them this weekend! : D ) and I remember learning of the N64 for the first time. It was playing Starfox 64 and I thought, wow Starfox is looking good today.. wait, that's no SNES... what the fuck is that thing?!
ANOTHER NINTENDO??
And they had WaveRace. Looking back I'm surprised that game didn't suck.

Haha Nintendo helped Sony make the PS, it was supposed to be a Sega CD type add-on for the SNES. Weird, though, if it went that way it would have failed and Nintendo would still have suffered.

@sicstyl agreed I had one, I got it on march 1st 1997 which was the release date for Australia..I think they even gave us a shirt? lol. We paid $400 plus we got Mario 64, cant remember if it was more on top.. I do remember that not long after the release in Aus there was a major price reduction, and because of complaints nintendo gave a free game to anyone that pre ordered N64. We got wave race which was ok.. ish.. nice graphics for the time, but pretty boring gameplay wise..
