What happens when we die?Since Deepak says the physical reality as we see it requires brain2 put together all the information2make it possible to appear the way we experience it, this'd mean that when we die n lose contact with brain we'll instantly dissolve in the pure potential field which'll lack details of the physical world, memories collected in ones lifetime-basically there will be no possibility for exisetnce of any soul or anything that can preserve the identity of the individual
@QPWimblik okay, but I cannot fathom that. Taken from a simple analogy. The shadow can ony do that which is casting it does. Sometimes we get so bogged down in scientific definitions and the most fundamental foundational truth is overlooked. Neither do I think a machine can ever, ever reason of its own. Certainly it can be programmed, but is that self-reasoning?
@Unonadados very much so and realm of the shadow is often over looked but is a factor of the mind. Some scientists almost claim that we are a consequence of our shadows
@jamesedwardtheobald Thank you, I so agree with you. There should be no debating the Truth. Its okay if thats where people are in consciousness, but if they desire to know the Truth, they should keep an open mind to the Truth, even though they yet do not understand. I think that is the key. We all were once there, but it takes "desire" and not thinking one already knows it all. It is that "prince of the power of the air" that gets angry and obnoxious when they hear.
problem with scientific modalities of thought is this; the 'self' is reducible to a mere physical object or process. anybody who has opened their hearts to a higher awareness knows that a materialistic description of life is a defiled notion; and until the nihilist/atheist/agnostic has a transcendent experience, there is no point in debating them; and i know of what i speak; i used to be a nihilist atheist, convinced that intellect and reason were the height of being; now i know otherwise...
@singledad1234 silliness. he made that money by a lot of work (how many books have you written? that is still 'work' and people get paid if they sell theri books); whether you agree with his ideas or not, he earned that money by being an entrepreneur - if you are an american, that opportunity is available to you, focusing in on someone you disagree with is not going to help your cause. change your focus and get on with your life in peace...
As far as we know man is the only creature on this planet that has the capabilities to ponder consciousness, the only creature with the capability to relate to the idea of God,without humans where would God exist? I feel that this question is a gateway to understanding our connection to the divine.

@Unonadados Current research is based on evolving inside simulation such things as reason as opposed to simply just programming it.
