  • I found an ad inside an old high school yearbook from 1913 which features the Dayton motorcycles, 7 and 9hp. They also sold Dayton, Olympia and Regal bicycles as well.

The Dayton motor wheel is one of three inter-related motor wheel products sharing the same engine design. The Smith and later B&S motor wheels were rear-mount units and the Dayton is a front-mount.

  • I had a Dayton with the engine in the front wheel, back around 1985 in Michigan. Better condition, too. Have several photos of it.

  • I've never heard of the Dayton either. Great job!

  • I had never even heard of a Dayton untill this video what an amazing vintage motorcycle

  • Cool video. I've never seen a Dayton Motor Wheel before. What a rare, antique motorcycle.
