Don Stupak '62 rang the Anderson Hall bell for two years as his student aid job at Maryville College. Each semester, he and another student rang the bell 27 times each class day. In addition, they raised and lowered the flag in the Anderson Hall tower seven days a week. In this video, Don talks about his experience as one of the Anderson Hall bell ringers. Follow Don as he makes his way up the tower - 50 years later - and describes what it was like to climb the tower every day as a student. There are some pretty spectacular views from atop the tower!

Dear Martha: Thanks for the trip down memory lane!! What a fantastic episode on the history of Anderson Hall and the ringing of the bell and the raising of the American Flag!! By the way, is it true that one year a group of students took a "cow" up into the bell tower?? Keep up your great work for the college. "Orange and Garnet, Float Forever!!" John Campbell, '70
