@MrEstorey oh okay, my mistake --- well, I'm more of a Foreigner fan myself, I'm sure you heard about Lou Gramm's major set back in the late 1990s with a brain tumor wich really messed him up physcially now :-( Truly sad what's become of Foreigner. I like both both Journey and Foreigner but Foreigner will allways be the soundtrack to my youth and growing up in the 80s (along with Journy) Seen them both live in 1990 when Steve Augeri was with the group.
@islapilluminati Well I have to inform you Perry still has a good voice,can,t hit those real high notes, but he still can hit most notes ,His voice is deeper, actually it really sounds better.I guess we will know when he finishes his recordings just how great the voice really is.
@df041278 Perry still has "a voice"...but it's not the same...it's still warm and soulful...but Perry's voice declined dramatically during the raised on radio tour in '86....it became lower and raspier...and now he's just old...all singers have their voice change and decline with age...Pat Benatar is arguably one of the greatest female rock vocalists of all time...but even she had to adapt to age...she goes low where she used to go high...and they've lowered the keys to her songs since the 90's
@islapilluminati He did the same thing to Steve Perry!! But Perry still has his voice ..Perry is also a class act.I have a better respect for Augeri now.
@sweetgyy : Thank you SO much for pointing out the similarity with your cousin. The whole of America, in fact the whole WORLD is better off for knowing that. Forget the recession. Forget global warming. We can all sleep happier in our beds, now that you've shared that amazing, almost incredible fact.

@ojmccaf63
No, Steve Augeri had throat cancer. Steve Perry had degenerative hip disease and had to have a hip replacement.
