@jakascott21 He fell into one of the vats used to make FEV. Normally that would turn a person into a Super Mutant, but the Master stayed in for almost a month. When he came out, he was an amorphous blob-thing, and found that he could expand his mass by "absorbing" other living things (A lot like Alex Mercer from Prototype. The other voices you hear while talking to the Master are other people that he consumed).

@Talhazad how did the master become the master? I know it was a scientific expedition in 214-something with Harold the master and i think Maxon to try and find whats behind the irradiated creatures popping up from Mariposa but what happened to him to make him that thing?

I don't know why, but this tune fit perfectly to the scene in Honest Heart, when you first met Joshua Graham. Makes a fine character theme IMO. :)

It's good to know that they still use a good music from old Fallouts.
