@purplefacedmonkey1 the holocene is the geological period which began around 12.000 years ago

@purplefacedmonkey1 i dont think its an actual word he just made it..maybe it has some significant meaning to him like all his songs
-
I have never understood going out of your way to criticize other peoples music... you don't like it... we do.... so go listen to what you like.

@mattTubular25 Ok everybody!! from now on we judge music based on this guy's scale!! Bon Iver="wussy"......I'm writing it down so we never forget!!!
-
it's a geological epoch and means 'entirely recent'
-
@mattTubular25 Can you teach me how to be dark and edgy like yourself?
-
Holocene- of, relating to, or denoting the present epoch...
In other words I have no fucking clue.

I love Bon Iver because he not only challenges himself as a writer but he challenges us as listeners. You can take this song and sort of make it your own, which i love. its like the song holds so many stories. Bon Iver will always be a legend to me.

@mattTubular25 then i guess in this case, wussy = pure beauty/genius
The lyrics fleetingly refer to my home town, Eau Claire, Wi. The old house at 3rd and Lake really did burn down, and the sound of low flying winter geese is eerily replicated by the horn section. Beautiful, haunting tune.
