Well,my 21st century sensibilities loved this!I see parallels between:'A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court' and the 'Wizard of OZ'(bump on head transports our hero to somewhere else);do I detect elements of Ralph Kramden+Ed Norton, and Al Bundy(Married With Children)...and speaking of stoners...did Cheech and Chong watch this, then make their movie 'Nice Dreams'?Bill and Ted's schtick?Fantasy sequences in 'The Song Remains the Same'(Led Zeppelin)?Comment is right on,Qwerly45!

Would really like to see the life story of Louis played by Cuba Gooding, Jr. I can't help but see the physical resemblance.
