I am working on increasing core power while doing partials with a heavier load then usual with less range of motion. My current squat is at 700lbs. Doing these help slowly increase my power and gets my body used to the weight. With time I slowly decrease the safety bars holding the weight and increase in range of motion. My goal is 800lbs full range of motion.

Tunes in the backround is from Disturbed.

I takes time and practice ev enventually the weight goes up. To be honest I have really only been squatting for 5 years. I too started with around 130 but kept working at it. Dont give up and if anything focus on your technic. Try not to pick up bad habbits.

  • How do you keep the wight from breaking you spine or your neck? i did squats for the first time the other day and have a sore bone on my upper spine...i only used about 130 pounds!
