Mark Constantine, one of the Lush founders and expert in cosmetics, talks about the history of animal testing and the implications for the cosmetic industry as the new REACH legislation lands. This is such an important issue, both for us as a vegan-vegetarian company and the entire industry; here, Mark discusses what this will mean for some cosmetic ingredients under REACH. Visit www.lush.co.uk for more information on our stance against animal testing.

  • I don't ever buy products that have been tested on animals! I'm a strict vegetarian and refuse to give those cruel companies my money (Rimmel being the worst I'd say!)

Everything I use is Lush.. soaps, shampoos, shower gels, body butters.. everything!

I can always trust Lush :)

  • I do love the animation!

  • Excellent video! I love Lushs' ethics.

By the way - did you all know that Body Shop is now owned by L'Oreal?

  • @13beautifuleyes And again I will still say, no one animals pain is any less important than another. No animal testing is the goal! Anyone could try to find something negative about all animals, but the point is, no one should say, "Oh no not hamsters, just mice!" They both feel the same pain. So instead how about "No animal testing period!"

  • @Cortneeyyy mice carried the plaughe to Europe, mice eat your food, mice poop on your basement.etc

  • @13beautifuleyes Because one animals pain is no less than another animals pain.

  • Lush. With you until the very end. I will probably take what's left of my collection to the grave. I love everything you are about down to the last rose petal. You spread so much goodness. THANKYOU!!!

  • WHY CANT YOU TEST ON MICE, DONT TEST ON HAMSTERS!

  • This is what makes Lush such a wonderful company. :) It's a shame more companies don't stand up for animals rights.

  • The only shop, where i buy my stuff. I buy everything from lush, and i can say that i do have tried almost everything. I have already got 9 free face masks, and 12 black pots are waiting for their time :)

  • Go Lush! Well done!

  • Excellent video, very Monty Pythonesque and lovin Hils's cameo : D
