The hilarity from failure in this game comes from just how horrific your demise tends to be. Death by laser? Not funny. Death by laser followed up by further laser action to mince your corpse in a bloody display of overkill? Awesome.

Dang, I feel silly for skipping the shooting range because I didn't want to waste ammo... just turning it on I would have seen that you have infinite ammo while playing it!

To be fair, I'm thinking the whole crew of the Valor dieing is a kind of Gameplay and Story Segeration. The Necromorphs probably just are basically immune to body shots, which a soldier is trained to aim for. The game just allows you to kill them from shooting them anywhere - although limbs IS faster - to keep it from being too hard if you can't aim at all.

Then again, try using the Pulse Rifle and just shoot everything in the chest. Takes a while sometimes, but... yeah. Crappy soldiers.

Meh, played it at my friend's place. Didn't like it at all. Come on, you can't even jump. Not to mention the other numerable flaws.
