Parents, I owned one when my boys were little. Sadly, I lost custody of the Rainbow in the divorce. Since it uses water, it is great to clean up vomit!! You pour a little water on top and suck the vomit right up. It picks up the smell too. It saved my carpets before my children were old enough to make it to the potty to puke. It was also great when training a puppy because, again, pour a little water on it and vac right up!!
The time has come to stop the scam side of this vacuum, which is the price. It's time to go mainstream retail with this vacuum. No doubt is is the best vacuum bar none, but there is no way its worth the money salesmen try to scam out of you. This should be about $150 more than a Dyson. No reason this should not set on the shelves at Wal-mart for about $600 or less. So sick of showing the demo to friends, only to see them laugh at the price.
representing rainbow consumers in australia... my parents bought a rainbow in the early 80s, it lasted about 20 years and we got another rainbow in the early 00s, the bastard just doesn't quit, second to none; the best vacuum cleaner i have ever encountered.
I have had a rainbows for 18 years as well and love it. A bit of a pain having to make sure U do not knock it over going around a corner ect so water does not leek out...BUT U never sneeze while using it due to dust being blown back into the air while in use and I do love it!!!
