"OIL SPILL - THE HUMAN UEBERFLUSS" Radio Spot

"What it must be like for the birds which become
soaked in mineral oil and perish on the beach."

PREMIERE of the multimedia exhibit in association with the 61st Berlin International Film Festival from
February 9 - 20, 2011 in the foyers of the Urania event centre.

7 young woman with different geographical roots who had never seen each other before and had no
idea what to expect. They only knew that they were to be confronted with an unidentified liquid.
They were required to face this uncertainty with open eyes, not to flinch and to surrender completely
to the situation.

"Our experiment was not about 'exposing' the participants. Neither during the rain of oily black liquid
nor during the subsequent interview which the participants gave while still totally drenched in oil.
It was nerve-wracking for both sides. The participants didn't know what to expect; those of us behind
the camera were full of suspense about the facial expressions, emotional impulses and outbursts of
feeling they would show. There was no recipe for success with this experiment."
