Are you working out and you're not getting the results you think you should be getting? Well today's smart tip is going to show you how to work out, especially with weight training, to get maximum results. When you weight train, the first thing that you need to make sure that you do, is to hit each body part at least 2 times a week, with at least 48 hours, maybe even 72 hours, of rest break in between -- you've really got to see how you feel, because recovery and rest is just as important as the work out. Now, when you do weight train, I've divided the body into 4 different parts: Upper Body Pushing, things like push-ups; Upper Body Pulling, like a pull-up; Hips & Thighs, squats; and Power Core, sit-ups. So again, you're going to hit each of those parts at least twice a week. Now you should always lift the heaviest weight you can handle, in good form -- that's critical. Work between 8 and 12 repetitions if you're looking to build muscle, because that is what we call the hypertrophy range. And give yourself about 60 seconds of rest in between sets. You do want to do multiple sets of an exercise, because if you just do it once you're not going to recruit as many muscle fibers. We're only going to recruit a certain percentage of muscle fibers each time we do an exercise, and you don't stimulate muscle fibers to grow unless you recruit them, so you need to do multiple sets.
