Never heard of these games...Are they any good? For your info, I really like story-dependent games, thus I enjoyed Xenogears and Xenosaga immensely. Does this game have a good story? Can I play it directly or do I need to play the prequel(s)?

@haloffx it is a bit of a hard quest to do indeed xP
first you need to have albert in the party so that you can enter the crystal palace. then in the pub you see two guys talking about the stone. you are then able to go and aske neidhart about the stone. you then have to fight the right way in the caverns in crystal lake. you will find a wooden door,and it will be open. after some short scenes,you will fight the boss,and then pick up the aquamarine.

@Starboymutant never did understand where to get aquamarine i have gotten the place with the stone things though

for me,the fatestones that are hard to get are the opal of wind,aquamarine and emerald of evil.
the silver dragon guards the opal and if you are not good prepared then he is your doom.
the aquamarine because of the stone breath statues there. if a breath touches you its instant game over. and the other version of ghost ship (the one that is a rare encounter,not the boss) is tough :P
and for the emerald of evil you first need to get the moonstone and then the emerald :< but the game is great :D

So, I bought SaGa Frontier 2, and Unlimited SaGa. I hated both of them.
I'm assuming this one is closer to the original PSX SaGa Frontier than any of the others?

No, it's more like Romancing Saga, since it's a remake of it. :)
