Turn on captions, it's awesome!!!

@CreativeMast3rmind i can tell you think you know everything about being creative and guitar. I recommend delving deeply into the title of the video and realizing hes showing us a quick little solo in a pentatonic scale.

What are the point of the captions if they are THAT off? Crazy.

Drop the bullshit, just tell us the god damn scales!

This sounds very much like Testament guitarist Alex's solo in "Formation of damnation"

@gitbad, how do you know which notes fit together in a metal solo? is it just based on scales? and if so, what scales?

@TheMiloszdevil On the guitar I think of it as scale shapes and patterns. Minor pentatonic scales and natural minor (aeolian mode) scales that are played in the right key to the metal riff work best. Also arpeggio shapes that are in the same keys as the riff or chords work great for metal. So I know what key I'm in and I know the shapes of the scales and arpeggios but I don't necessarily think of what each note is, but I know it works because of the scale shapes if that makes any sense?
