i dont think van goph is a guy? van goph speaks like a lady and van goph probably got so afffected by her belief system that she believes she is a guy and tells others to address her by Mister?
people, especially scientists, insist that the world is round and there is no such thing as a soul or fate, but all of that may not be true. we have to remember that the world is round only with respect to what we see and measure, the world is made of matter only for our eyes, we may be playing a matrix game right now and we may not be real at all, its very possible and a thery of relativity or neurons isnt the final answer, but its a leap forward to understaning reality, i hate 'know it alls'
the problem alot of scientists, and for that matter people, have is that after discovering that there are neurons (for example), they think now they know how the whole world works, just like when Einstein came up with the thoery of relativity, he wanted that theory to explain every physical action, but so may people forget that there are alot of unknown things out there still to discover, just like when i play poker i always think i have the best hand, hopeful thinking, but reality is different
this segment of the series focuses on religious aspect and the brain process, the other pieces, show how the brain works in other aspects of life (at least the theories of the brain).
... I just do not understand why this “brain damaged” people would have only religious experiences. Why not regular, simple hallucinogenic experiences like drug induced ones?
Well, is like the chicken or the egg really: do they have religious visions because they are sick, or are they sick because of the intensity in the electromagnetism caused in their brain by the religious experience -- perhaps too intense for a regular physical body? Which would count for both ecstatic experiences as well as fanatic experiences. Which explains while most people do not have it, not care to have it. I am open to consider both side of the argument...
