The movie is NOT THAT BAD. But when I first saw it, I really hated it because it was not what I was expecting in a Max Payne movie. Mark Whalberg not talking in that low gritty voice, Ludacris as Jim Bravura. So yes compaired to the game, it really sucks! But if you give it another watch and forget about the video game then you can enjoy it for what it is. Just because something is flawed doesn't mean it can't be any good

The thing is, you can NEVER size up to what the game of Max Payne was, ever. You might get close, but even then there will be a decent amount of haters. Doing this movie was a bad idea in general.

Aside from that, I think people wanted a solid and dark story with badass shootouts and slow motion scenes, not some almost sci-fi turnover with the fucking angels, seriously.

i didn't play the game so i liked the movie i don't how it was bad i sure wasn't expecting Casablanca ,i got blood violence and special effects.people saw the story-line was unrealistic well so is jumping thru the air in slo mo unless your on acid

I haven't seen this film, and probably won't.

I don't want to ruin the good image I have for a game, because of another Hollywood pop-plastic junk flick.

this movie literally got two things right the name of the protagonist and the name of the drug. this movie would still blow even if u never played the game like this is so fucking shitty so half assed its amazing. like even the gender of max's baby was wrong like what in the fuck is wrong with these fuckheads? thank christ max payne 3 has nothing to do with this abomination.

This movie was a huge disappointment and the bad thing is that it wasn't the scenes, or story, was that it overall looked too forced. I liked the fact that they tried to replicate many thing from the game, but was clumsy and i didn't felt it worked. I really hope they reboot it.
