  • They hide their identities because they know that what they are doing is wrong. If what they were doing was morally correct and in the best interests of everyone effected then they would not feel the need to hide. The end result of these legal actions is to eliminate extra curricular activities from education in California. The ACLU did not differentiate "required" courses from "extra curricular" in their suit. As a result no programs are allowed to ask for money from parents in this state.

  • Hey Jason, if you were slow running track would sue and demand the fast runners carry extra weight? You had the oportunity to show everyone you could run just as fast even though you had to work twice as hard.

You might make it to the finish line with everyone else now but don't bother throwing your hands up in victory. All your opponents carried you there. Life is difficult. It's not fair or easy but it can be rewarding when you persevere and realize success.

    Wake up America the ACLU

  • He should have just talked to the teacher, not file a lawsuit. Now all of our schools are screwed over.

  • @giordanodid the ACLU are not politicians. if you read the name (american civil liberties UNION) it is a union. and no, they did not sude the nation. READ the username. acluSOCAL. they sued california because the california constitution said that all students are entitled to FREE education services, academic and extracurricular. paying fees to participate in education violates this law, thus the suing is valid. please research before you talk and sound ignorant. (look whos the ignorant one now)

  • You should have talked to the teacher... not sued the nation!!!

  • This, ACLU, is a big flaming pile of bullshit. Thank you for further ruining education. Truly. I am a student, and I know very well about the fees. There are ALWAYS ways around them, and if in this case there weren't, then THAT school should be penalized.

This is just another case of self righteous, ignorant politicians doing something to make themselves look good, to make themselves look as though they're doing something.
