Not a great capture like kevin said, but at least you explain your circumstances well. As a rule of thumb of course you want to use a reference point and zoom in and out as much as possible, without losing quality, to give relative distance and size information. Of course this can all be difficult when trying to film a UFO, especially at night, and especially because its a UFO and as you said "one tries to get SOMETHING on film" So I say kudos for effort.

Exactly! I have so much time on my hands that I bother to concoct low-quality thirty second video clips. . . shit-cunt.

was this taken at the beach? pretty amazing. there was a rash of ufos here in s haven a while back, in the 90s. ufos clocked at 600 mph.

About half a mile from the beach. Yeah, the speed of it was amazing.

whats the drumming sound and the sound on the end? Not much to look at though. Next time stabilize and zoom:)

The drumming sound throughout is the auto-stabilize feature on the camera. The sound at the end was me attempting to zoom in and thus losing sight of it. A tripod would have been ideal. But when something like that is seen, one tries to get something on film as quickly as possible, and unfortunately, the quality decreases. It was in the sky for about two minutes, and it took me almost a minute and a half to remember where I put the camera and retrieve it.
