In the opening monologue, Jack discusses his long ago football days. The skit that follows is about Jack's reluctance to pay Johnnie Ray the price Ray's manager set for his appearance on Jack's show. Also in the skit are some hilarious scenes about Rochester's day off. Danny Thomas, Benny and Ray do a bit at the end of the show.

Rochester is the best! Kudos to Benny for letting him shine!

@dogjones65 You're right. Rochester was very talented and Jack didn't hold him back. They were great together!

The "integrated" middle commercial, around 4:00, is Rochester's moment to shine in the spotlight. Not many people knew he started out as a "song and dance" man (gravel voice and all), and Jack often gave him the opportunity to demonstrate how great a performer he really was...this is so entertaining, you don't even realize it IS a commercial for Luckies!

You don't really know at all. A seamless commercial with a nice soft shoe routine!
"Watch out for the mouse trap."
"There's some cheese in it."
Hilarious!
