Like its vintage Gibson ancestors, the Epiphone L-00 features a Solid Sitka Spruce top that actually will improve in tone as it ages and is played. The smaller, (15.5" wide at lower bout) L-00 body is Mahogany and is set with a hand-fitted dovetail neck joint using premium Titebond glue. The Mahogany neck and body combined with the solid Spruce top make for the perfect combination of tone, warmth and brilliance with much larger volume than you would expect from a smaller guitar.
This is very much like my original mid 60's American built Epiphone Cortez. Still in excellent condition & I love it to bits. I could never part with it.

Bought this guitar two weeks ago... Im going need some rehab ...I am addicted.
This is the BEST guitar I have played.Compared them to the $3000.00 Gibson's, Taylors and Martins....This is THE ONE. I do not work for Epiphone :0

That's what I planned on doing! I did that to my beginner Yamaha I got years and years ago, and that guitar is fantastic! I am definitely picking on of these up.

Also, some old blues tricks:
drop a rattlesnake rattle in the body to add some neat resonance and keep the bugs out (spiders don't like rattlensakes). Add a mojo hand for sound dampening and good luck

I have one and I love it. Great bang for the buck. This is a good budget guitar for the price, and a great guitar with about $30 worth of minor mods. Replace the plastic bridge pins with some ebony wood pins. Replace the plastic saddle and nut with bone or simulated ivory pieces, and the guitar will SING!
