I'm going to die. I would decline a last meal. By the way, screw economics. That is such a weak argument for abolishing the death penalty. So weak. To save a few bucks and let these assholes mingle with the rest of the prison population is a preposterous idea.  In this country there is the death penalty. Period. You don't like it? Find a more friendly country to live in if they'll have you.

@akkermanism - I'd say it's a really strong argument (actually, I pretty much did) -- this country is 15-trillion in the hole... and murdering murderers makes us no better than them. I'd say abolishing it for these reasons are fine examples. Living a life in solitary is probably worse than death anyway. And I'd prefer they suffer for a long time.

Oregon just abolished the death penalty, I think.

But there was only 1 person on death row in Oregon.

So it wasn't like it made that big of a difference to abolish it.
