  • @ios254 I just ordered the Pimsleur's "Conversational Norwegian", to prepare for my trip to Norway in about 6 months. I could be wrong, but I think I've been told that Norwegian is basically the Danish language pronounced more like Swedish. Yes, Karin is very sweet. Most Norwegians I meet are very nice people, the country is so pretty... It makes me feel homesick for Norway, and I've never even been there yet.

  • Du er skikkelig flink! Norsk er et vanskelig språk.

You are very clever! Norwegian is a difficult language.

  • I really want to learn norwegian now!!

I'm from Austria and my first language is german, so now that I "mastered" english, I want to start learning a new language. :D

  • She is frickin adorable...

I want to learn all of the Scandinavian languages. Thus far," jeg taler meget lit dansk."

From what I am hearing of Norsk (I listen to the Pimsleur's Norsk CD from time to time), it sounds incredibly Dutch (?). A lot of "Sh" sounds. For instance, Undskyld, is pronounced with a heavy "SH" and sounds more like "unschell," whilst in Dansk it is pronounced "unskool" but spelled the same. I use to think Dansk sounded beautiful and Norsk was harsh but now methinks not.

  • I'm from norway, and i think she is to. It's perfectly fluent.

  • You are going to teach me?.....About Norwegian?

  • Your videos are fantastic! Thank you so much for the lessons, and you speak English very well!
