@ios254 I just ordered the Pimsleur's "Conversational Norwegian", to prepare for my trip to Norway in about 6 months. I could be wrong, but I think I've been told that Norwegian is basically the Danish language pronounced more like Swedish. Yes, Karin is very sweet. Most Norwegians I meet are very nice people, the country is so pretty... It makes me feel homesick for Norway, and I've never even been there yet.

Du er skikkelig flink! Norsk er et vanskelig språk.

I really want to learn norwegian now!!
I'm from Austria and my first language is german, so now that I "mastered" english, I want to start learning a new language. :D

She is frickin adorable...
I want to learn all of the Scandinavian languages. Thus far," jeg taler meget lit dansk."
From what I am hearing of Norsk (I listen to the Pimsleur's Norsk CD from time to time), it sounds incredibly Dutch (?). A lot of "Sh" sounds. For instance, Undskyld, is pronounced with a heavy "SH" and sounds more like "unschell," whilst in Dansk it is pronounced "unskool" but spelled the same. I use to think Dansk sounded beautiful and Norsk was harsh but now methinks not.
