www.ProGuitarShop.com - The Demeter MB-2B Midboost / Fat Control Boost Pedal boasts a wide mid-frequency range for a more distinct natural frequency boost than any other midboosts. The frequencies selected give your guitar the best response and sustain possible.

The MB Demeter MB-2B Midboost / Fat Control Boost Pedal used with a single coil type pickup produces a sound very similar to the old Gibson P90 pickup. Used with humbucking type pickups, the sound is transformed into that of super humbucking pickups. The Demeter MB-2B Midboost / Fat Control Boost Pedal produces the sound equivalent of adding 5,000 feet of wire to your pickup, and at a turn of the knob the MB-2B Midboost/Fat Control will respond by adding any amount of midboost you desire.

  • would u recommend this for drop tuned music? I'm trying to get more of a punchy fuzz tone, my guitar sounds too boomy, being a hollowbody n all, and the clean channel on my amp (fender supersonic) doesn't have a mid control so I wondered whether that's what I'm missing, and whether a midboost pedal would help (or maybe an eq is better)? Any help would be really appreciated, thanks!

  • i could be wrong here, but wouldn't you get the same results and more with a good EQ pedal?

  • the amazing thing about andy is he NEVER plays the same lick...EVER

  • @CuriousGeorgeSwimmer Good call, I hate world music supply demos, that guy is a pud knocker.

  • @CuriousGeorgeSwimmer

I do like the playing, there's just too much of it, I think:S These videos are considerably longer than they need to be b/c instead of just playing enough to show how a pedal reacts, it's like a whole riff or a whole chorus section or something. I don't think it's just my A.D.D. talking here, I really think these videos (the pedal demos, in particular) could be tightened up a lot.

  • i am thinking of getting myself a Robert keeley time machine boost pedal. Is that pedal god for the music i play, i play. AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Ozzy osbourne and metallica...

  • There are quite a few boosters around these days and this is a fine example, but the MXR micro amp is still my choice.

    regards

    JM

  • It's not one of those pedals that's exciting, but if I had it I'd use it all the time. How is it different to using an EQ?

  • consider this, fender strat---> demeter fat control pedal---> DOD 308 YJM---> BOSS NS-2---> Marshall pre-amp overdrive ? how would it sound like? I bet my ears it'd sound just like Malmsteen's tone ha3x...

  • I like the fact that this pedal allows the guitar to remain true to it's sound but with a little more "hair" around it! Thanks! I can hear some Warren Haynes applications with this!!
