A while back I read where the UofM Business School got a Number One ranking in some prestigious publication. But the following year they lost their spot due to their students interviewing with prospective employers and coming off as arrogant.
One interviewer said, "They acted like they were doing us a favor."
I guess the point is that humility and gratitude have a place in the world.

Some recruiters were understandably frustrated at the time by not being able to hire as many of our students as they may have wished. The anecdotal quotes featured in the prestigious publication referenced here did not come from any of our top recruiters. One must keep in mind that rankings are based on several interdependent and multidimensional factors.
