  • Induction kits are currently available in 120 & 150 watts. These kits do not overheat, they've been thermally tested. The reflector is not there to provide a heat barrier, only to reflect the light. When the ballast is installed it's layered with heat transfer pads and plates, then secured to the light fixture housing. This in turns converts the fixture housing into a giant heat-sink for the ballast.

  • What is the wattage of this lamp?

  • By Putting the Ballast and the lamp in the same compartment causes overheating issues. The thin reflector does nothing to protect the ballast.
