I've seen some people tie 7 chulyoth and others tie 13. Is it just a matter of personal preference or is there some indication of what the Rambam held?

rambam basically tried to make Judaism into Islam and was real controversial.

many of rambams ideas are non jewish gentile stuff and should be ignored.

remember rambam's real name was موسى ابن ميمون
