A little tire smoke but here's a launch of my 1979 911 SC with the larger 3.2L non turbo Carrera Engine Conversion. Heads have an intake port floor short turn radius cut and I tear dropped the guide/bowl area. Autowerks chip,Stainless Hooker muffler straight off the cat bypass, K&N air filter, 225/50 Y Rated Tires. Launching at 2000 rpms with the rev limiter set @ 6500 rpms but capable of 7200 rpms

  • Its interesting that the chip would need a k&n air filter, the stock box breaths rather well and most report no hp gains going to k&n (just better sound). Have you considered a Steve Wong Chip? Hes considered the guru of 3.2 chipping. How do you like your current chip? Any idea how much horsepower you have now?

  • @djick31 The stock box is there, I havea replacement K&N filter in the box , not the cone style.. Never tried the Steve Wong but heard very good things and about them. In the description at the top I mention other work then just the muffler, filter and chip. HP unknown, never pulled a dyno. Take heed the big chrome thing sticking out the back is the hooker tunable muffler, not much room back there is why it sticks out, LOL It's about as free flowing as one can get with a cat bypass behind it

  • @BumpWheel Nice! Do you know which engine type that is? 207 217 231 bhp? It looks very good either way. How did or how much (do you think) the intake port and the guide help the engine? Was it just to protect it from worn valve guides or is there a goal of horsepower increase to go with that as well?

    Great vid

  • @djick31 It's an 86 engine w/ 86 DME So thinking if it's an North American engine it should be 217 bhp. Maybe it could be from another market, that would be great?!:) Anyway the head port size are more than large enough in stock form, so they need no enlarging at all. But they do need help on the intake floor, hence "short turn radius cut". The guide area was tear drop cut on the casting around the guide "better flow"less obstruction there.

  • how much was the chip? and how much more hp does it give?

  • @MrSuperNathan mind you with the chip, you need a K&N air filter and a free flowing exhaust with an exhaust cat bypass for your's to run right... your's will run pretty good with just those alone

  • The third gear intake roar is tops!

  • Very nice, that thing launches hard

  • hey will the 3.3 turbo fit in this car

  • love the secound shift sound!

  • @vanson1200r lol a non-turbo porsche that can burn rubber is a miracle to you? You've obviously never driven a porsche of any sort

  • still pulling hard

  • I was about to talk shit but I wont after the car took off. A non turbo 911 that can smoke the tires? Fast car.

  • There is no substitute ... very nice !

  • I just can't understand why anyone would give this 911 video a dislike! This thing runs! Especially for the year it is with only a normally aspirated 3.2L with some mods done. The guys that left dislikes probably have nothing better to do then be complete assholes wishing they can have more interaction with cars then watching a youtube vid. Seems like now days there are more jerks popping up... Unbelievable :-/
