sounds kinda cool. they're learning n having fun @ the same time. I think every instructor should do the same, teach n have fun @ the same time to make the class more creative thiab na.
If you a groom of course you gotta pay the bride's parents because "your mother-in-law went through so much pain giving birth" she fed you food, protected you, love you more than u can imagine. So it's a token u given to the bride's parents, showing how hard they have raise you.

Let me correct that for you. Hmong parents do not sell their daughters. The money given to them is a way of showing respect and it's also a token or a gift to the girl's family.
