Jackie Leven 2004 Live or Die

Shaking due to beer i think so sorry but the soundis not too bad for camera clip.

Jackie was playing that night and the BBC asked if he would present the 'Folk Club of the year' award to the pub during the nights show. It was then aired on TV (BBC4) the next night(31st Jan 2004). At the time i wondered what the two girls with high tech camera were filming for and by chance watched the folk awards the next night...

I really miss the big man and chatting with him at gigs that started at the Otley folk festival back in 1998. I was told i would like him by a good man called Richard McFarlane i met through a mutual friend. That started many years of catching him in Yorkshire and sometimes further. New years show (or was it Xmas) in Belper was a great night.
I have not got over his passing and probably never will so here is one of a few clips from the night I managed to save on an old hard drive. RIP Jackie
