Big Bear Ron

I promise this was the first time I'd prepared salmon patties with these ingredients. I had a hunch these ingredients would work well together. I've been amazed at how delicious the patties were!

Chopped eggs (cooked in the shell)
Chunked potatoes (blanched in water)
Rubbed Sage
Crushed Red Pepper
Italian Seasoning
Parmesan Cheese
Salt
Pepper

Whole Wheat flour mixed with bread flour, rolled oats, salt, and baking powder.

Cooked in vegetable oil over medium heat (I guess around 350 degrees), so they sizzle from beginning to end of cooking.

  • Wonder if you could do that with canned albacore tuna?

  • I can't think of a reason why not! Maybe I'll do something like that with ingredients I find here.

  • Yeah - Looks good...but I tried my hand at cooking salmon patties before ...now I just leave them to to mom. Only she can cook them they way I like em. Mine were horrid! lol.

  • Like so much food prep that I do, this was an experiment. I promise this video showed the first time I used all these ingredients together. Wow, was I so very pleased!

I wonder what I'll try next!

  • You are such a creative and good cook. Can I use salmon in brine or in oil? Sorry for the simple question as i am not a very good cook.

  • If the salmon is cooked, I can't see why not. Drain it well before using. Sometimes, I get the salmon in the pouches. Sometimes I get fresh salmon and cook it myself (then chill before using when cooking it like this).

  • WOW!!

my next step is to run to the local Filipino market for a bottle of San Miguel, and then check out how to find or make some pickled okra. all together, sounds like the perfect combo.
