I was hired to direct the American Red Cross' biennial Disaster Scene Management film, in which Police officers, Firemen, EMS personel and over 80 actors simulate a "real life" plane crash at Westchester Airport.
*EVERYTHING YOU SEE IN THIS FILM IS REAL: THE FIRES, THE EMERGENCY RESCUE TEAM, THE HELICOPTERS- EVERYTHING.*
(This was shot May 6, 2006)
This is a training drill. I've participated in such events before. The American Red Cross doesn't have an actual Disaster Scene Management Course, but rather we assist in overseeing mass casualty events. We sometimes act as more of a secondary command.

I'm skeptical this is a Red Cross video of any shorts. Mainly because there doesn't seem to be any Disaster Scene Management course offered by the Red Cross (nor would it be expected - as another poster mentioned, it seems more like a local OEM drill)
That, and it breaks the golden Red Cross logo policies - which they are fairly strict about.

Okay, but i don't see any Red Cross in the video! I only see emergency responders. This could just as easily be a drill for a local Office of Emergency Management.

How come they didn't show the crash?

Did they simulate the actual crash itself?
