Hitting the greeter with the TV is completely unnecessary. Receipt checks are voluntary, they ask if they can search your property because they can only do so with your permission.
I always wave the greeters off with a smile and a No Thank You. Never had to hit one with a TV on my way out the door, but then, I don't steal...

dang, I saw the title and thought of a man stealing from the registers.
How would someone be able to rob a Wal*Mart? I mean...there's 22 cash registers. I guess they aren't all up and running...but around the holidays they'll all be up and running.
I guess in all seriousness, would it really be worth it? There's probably not enough cash in each register to pull off such a heist.
