Mayor Dettloff is a truly accomplished person, she has been a teacher, activist, director of non-profits, elected official, wife and mother. She even took a gourmet cooking class for over 30 years. She is a founding member of the Amigos de Bolsa Chica one of the most successful environmental organizations in the US, she was on the coastal commission, She has done so much more including but not limited to working with the League of Women Voters and Boys and Girls Club. She really knows how to get things done in a committee.
