Ding-ding-ding, we have a winner. Steve did the studio recording of this song; Elefante joined the band in late '81 or early '82.

They should release this concert on DVD, I have it on VHS but the quality is so poor, this one looks awesome, were this came from?

Back in 1990, I stumbled across the VHS tape that has this concert. The package was sealed, so it's an original product, not a copy. Yeah, they should make it available on DVD as an official release (pirate copies are probably available on eBay from time to time, but that's not the same thing).

I feel like John Elefante has always been a bit undermined as he's compared to Steve, who most die-hard Kansas'fans feel is the "one, true" singer(which I do), but there's no denying that John is a powerful singer and was as close to Steve's capacity as one could get.. I still prefer Steve's work, but this is a really great rendering of Carry on Wayward Son!

John's and Steve's voices are very close(about 90 %) but Steve seems to have a tad more range and a tiny bit higher/crisper-ish? knowhatImean?
