  • did John Elefante or Steve Walsh do the original recording to this song? I think it was Steve, but I'm not sure...

  • Ding-ding-ding, we have a winner. Steve did the studio recording of this song; Elefante joined the band in late '81 or early '82.

  • They should release this concert on DVD, I have it on VHS but the quality is so poor, this one looks awesome, were this came from?

  • Back in 1990, I stumbled across the VHS tape that has this concert. The package was sealed, so it's an original product, not a copy. Yeah, they should make it available on DVD as an official release (pirate copies are probably available on eBay from time to time, but that's not the same thing).

  • Why'd they let Jerry Seinfeld on stage to sing this one? He sure has some pipes!

  • I feel like John Elefante has always been a bit undermined as he's compared to Steve, who most die-hard Kansas'fans feel is the "one, true" singer(which I do), but there's no denying that John is a powerful singer and was as close to Steve's capacity as one could get.. I still prefer Steve's work, but this is a really great rendering of Carry on Wayward Son!

  • John's and Steve's voices are very close(about 90 %) but Steve seems to have a tad more range and a tiny bit higher/crisper-ish? knowhatImean?

  • Where the SOUL in the vocal??? Sorry, this falls way short of Walsh.

  • Kerry On

    You will ALWAYS remember... =KANSAS=

  • Goes to show you don't know your American history. God created everyone equal. No ethnicity is more superior than the other. The Mexican culture is very beautiful with our language, dance, food, and music. I live in a diverse city, and have friends of all kind, I feel blessed to have friends all of backgrounds. I dont know where you come from, but I'm glad to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and that's more important to me than anything in this world, over race and origin. God Bless you!

  • who said i was American? why do you assume this? because i dont like dirty fucking mexicans. lol im not the only one

  • and by the way, everyone is an immigrant of this country, including you, and all Europeon Americans!

  • Your the one that can't spell. it's COLLEGE, NOT COLLAGE! Anyway Im no dirty immigrant, what makes your ethnicity better? You need to educate yourself, because like I said, Mexican's have always been here in this country. Texas, Arizona, California, New Mexico, was all of Mexico's until the US won in the Mexican-American war. Get your facts straight. I love the United States, I was born here, so I'm just as an American as you are.

  • wow a dirty immigrant that can't even spell information, that's sad. And your graduated from collage, haha good one

  • excuse me? Who the hell are u calling a stupid Mexican! Im sorry, but Im Mexican American, and was born in Texas and Im a college graduate, u sound so fucken ignorant talking like that! And for your info, do your research on history, because half of the west coast was Mexico's until the American's came along and stole it! We have always been here!! Besides this, Im a fan of John Elefante, the only reason I happen to come across your ignorant post!
