Los Angeles Lakers Public address announcer Lawrence Tanter says Ron Artest's new legalized changed name "Metta World Peace" for the very first time at the Lakers Scrimmage game after Artest makes a basket. The crowd's reaction at the Galen Center got interesting after he said it.

  • @GolgothanGrace Thanks. You won't hear Lawrence Tanter say Artest's new name on TV over Bill McDonald and Stu Lantz calling the game unless if you were at a Lakers game.

  • @JZ2001JC I know what you mean and I agree but that's his style, which makes the Lakers different from any other team. Another example is the rich recession-proof fans in the 100s at every home game, taking about the retirement 401Ks, what yacht they just purchased and debating which private university they should send their daughter instead of cheering and going wild for the team during the game like other teams with fans sitting in the 100s at other arenas. That's the LA atmosphere.

  • That Laker PA Announcer is the dullest guy ever. WOW JUST WOW, I mean not that you need to be obnoxious like a lot of NBA announcers but get some excitement at least.
