You could always rip the original music file straight from the SPC. That would make editing a whole lot easier. Plus MIDI will never be the same as the original music when trying to copy it. It's best used to try to create original music. Or use MODS for your own custom samples for the music.

Nice, midi off beat in some parts but I know there not much you can do to fix that.

Not only that, but the tempo of the original MIDI was all wrong. I had to actually time stretch it in Vegas to get it to fit with the mp3. MIDIs are always so gay, they're never like the originals.

@ParadoxNG Strange, because I can't even use MIDI's in Vegas. But I have Pro 9.0. Not sure it has anything to do with the version, though.

You can't import MIDIs into Vegas. You have to import them into some kind of audio editing software (I used FL Studio 9 because the demo is free forever) and then after replacing the MIDI instruments, exporting the mp3.
All of the rest of the editing was done in Vegas.
