  • My favourite part!!!! When they are singing with full mouth, hihihi.. "DER WIND,DER WIND" :-)))

  • Oh Lord! Come on people! The witch looks like an old lady who lives alone with cats and such. The stereotypical "harmless old lady" who all the kids believes is a witch. Think back to when you were a kid. It makes complete sense.

  • Though it may not be the best, I believe that the choices made do have significance. In terms of the tiny house, I think that I symbolizes thee children power over their poverty. Thus far in the production, the children have attempted to deal with their situation - Gretel's dance in their home- so the size of the home is power in access to food and dreams! Just my interpretation :)

  • She needs a Bra urgently... Push Up Please!!!

  • Doesn't the witch come out of the house?

  • @fendibag17 You are right. My nephew loves the old production at our opera house with its angels and a very dark forest. When he saw this dvd, he was very disappointed - right from the beginning. The broommakers cottage does not look like a fairy tale, he said. and I have to agree. These modern productions destroy magic and atmosphere of every opera!

  • @lancelot577 You are joking. This production lacks magic and atmosphere.

  • This production is dreadful, the witch is is scantily dressed and the symbolism makes no sense to me let alone children. I dont think children would enjoy or understand this production. also its an obvious imitation of the Met's new Hansel and Gretel. Bravo to Diana and Angelika though.

  • Because it is a disgusting and trashy production. The great singers deserved better sets and ciostumes. This here lacks everything: Atmosphere and good taste. Rgeitehater crap!

  • she looks really freaky and have u noticed her hair is red at the back =o

  • Why is her shirt unbuttoned when she comes out??
