@excelsior27: 4th place is an accomplishment for Cal in the NCAA championship meet. This does show that they are competitive and can win something in the years to come. We have to keep pledging to save it!

Robert J. Birgeneau (chancellor of UCB), if you have seen their work ethic, you should have some feeling to save their sport. Sure, Stanford won it, but it does show that they NEED Cal's presence to become competitive!
