  • Yes they replace the slip on stock muffler.

  • hey thanks for the website. i got mine on the way, should be here next week. Did u have to jet the carb? I was reading in the installation packet that it recommends jetting the carb to eliminate any discoloration of the chrome. The Vance and Hines website has the number for tech support about a jet kit they offer. If its just a simple changing of jets i'm sure my local motor sports center could do it.

  • I have an 07 which has EFI (no carb). I have not changed the A/C. I will be changing the A/C and installing a race tuner at the local dealer. Rns good but I can tell it does seem to be running a little lean, you may want to look into Stage 1.

  • Yes, Straight Shot Slip On's. They sound much better in person I promise. You will not be disappointed. I fond these at: more power racing for 214.95 free shipping.

  • so by "slip ons" , they mean it doesn't go all the way up to the engine like a complete system, but you just unbolt the rear muffler section from the headpipe and bolt the new ones right on in their place?

  • wow those straight shots sound awesome nice looking sportster

  • The pipes that are seen in the video do they have baffles in them?

  • I just installed Straighshot HS Slip -Ons with Fuel Pac tonight on my '08 Wide Glide. The Fuel Pac install is very simple, all you do is follow the directions. There is no need to take the bike in. The complete install took just under 3 hours with no rushing. There's no challenge to the programming either. It's very simple.

  • slip-ons just replace the stock muffler, straight-shots are a complete exhaust replacement i believe

  • wats the difference between straightshots and straightshot slip ons?

  • sounds easy but is it? it all confuses me. dealer said install the pipes and then bring it in..grrr

  • Nice sound - sharp bike!

  • do you think the bike runs too lean without the A/C and tune or would it be safe to go without with just having the slip ons?

how can you tell if its running too lean?
