  • It would have been nice if you had gotten an actor who a) had a more lyrical voice and b) could throw it like a real ventroliquist. No offense to this guy or to anyone else, but the man who plays Erik should be a man who can successfully deliver Shakespeare. It requires that much understanding and nuance. I do like this Christine a little better than the other one. She does seem a bit young looking for 20, but then again, Raoul's supposed to be a 21-year-old who looks like an 18-year-old. :)

  • Are they still going ahead with this project? I would be so frigging excited, no matter who the actors were. I have yet to find an exact remake of Gaston Leroux's novel!

  • LOVE how accurate the set/script/costumes are. The acting...meh. and something should be done to portray his ventriloquism somehow since we can't see his lips.

    Overall, pretty promising :)

  • Come on, people! This is a TEST SCENE! Some of the best films started from test scenes that looked like this one. I think this has merit. I can't wait for it to come out!

  • the setting is really nice, with some music it would be nicer. the christine is very cute how he talks to erik. it's so cute when they talk about what she sees in the torture chamber but then he's so sudden when he says "OF COURSE NOT!!" it's no mechanical. and would he actially go dirving around in the country with her? for one thing, thy didn't have cars back then?

  • there needs to be more sound for the actor's. The phantom has no emotion and it's stupid. He needs a new mask!!!! The Cristine is very beautiful. but her acting could be a whole lot more polished.

and could you guys have english accents instead of American? I think it would work much better.

nice set. it's very beautiful and victorian looking.

nice try. if you did an entire play of the book, that'd be great but you've got a lot of work ahead.

  • That "Kristen" reminds me of Terri Polo's Christine! Very good on her part. I like that your Erik is wearing a "natural mask of the moor of Venice". The actor however, is a little...dry? :-) He will be better I'm sure, with some practice!

  • Yeah, in the original book: a) Erik's whole body was deformed, not just his face b) his voice was musical even when speaking c) I kinda imagined his lair to be scarier...are they in the Louis-Phillipe room?

  • *nods in approval* Good, good. Better acting. It still needs a bit of "Umph" - do you know what I mean? (But I do understand that this is still in it's initial phases/screen test.)

Perhaps we can do something about the mask? (It's kind of hard to hear/understand what Erik is saying. He sounds seriously muffled. LOL! ;-D )
