132540 / 1932 Ford Hi-Boy

This 1932 Ford Hi-Boy is a ground-up build that combines the vision of original hot rodding with modern components that have been developed through years of tweaking and modification. Completed by Lonestar Rod Shop in March of 2008, this Ford Hi-Boy gleamed and glistened its way to a first place finish at the 2009 Good Guys in Houston Texas. Its Show Me fiberglass body is finished in trailer-queen quality Cool Vanilla paint and features Tanner custom pin striping on its grille shell and trunk. At the front of the car, 15 inch polished American Racing Salt Flat Specials carry billet knock offs and wear 155/80 BF Goodrich T/A radials. At the back of the car, 16 inch polished American Racing Salt Flat Specials carry billet knock offs and wear 275/65 BF Goodrich T/A radials. Under the one piece hood, a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 features chrome accessories and red paint that matches the car's interior. Underneath the car, a Pete & Jake's custom chassis has been 'C' notched for additional clearance and houses: a GM Turbo-Hydramatic 350 transmission, a rebuilt John's Ford 9 inch axle, chrome front mono leaf springs, a chrome front axle and suspension, custom chrome fabricated headlight and shock mounts, adjustable Viper coil overs, chrome rear lower ladder bars and Wilwood front disc brakes. Inside the car, a red ultraleather interior features: a Cool Vanilla dash with Tanner pin striping, VDO instruments in a Stewart-Warner dash panel, a Lokar Nostalgia floor shifter, black carpet, a Limeworks 40s style steering, a Limeworks 40s style steering column and a Limeworks billet turn signal stalk. In short, this award winning Hi-Boy has the best of everything, and is perfect for the '32 Ford fan that wants a fully completed and show ready car.
