@mickeylehuynh Dust tends to scatter alot better in the heat than when it's cooler and if you're attic is that hot at that time and there's large amounts of dust up there than that may be your problem.
@mickeylehuynh Sometimes photoelectroc smoke detectors can be tripped by strong sun rays and if your attic is sunny in the afternoon that could be why.
My detector is beeping every 30 seconds or so. Strange thing is the sounds only go off in the afternoon from say 12:00 to 6 pm, then it stops and starts again the next day, about the same time. Anyone knows why? The reason I'm not replacing the battery yet is because it's placed in a high spot, in the attic, and I will need someone to help climb up to replace the battery. Just wondering why it only goes off in the afternoon.

@SpecializedChild462 Thank you for your reply. My attic is not sunny, but it gets really hot in the afternoon, could that be it?
