I was sitting in turn 3 and I remeber Juan passing cars on the outside on the short shoot. Thanks Chip Gannassi that was the start of the two series coming back together.

This week, Juan Pablo Montoya is celebrating the 10th anniversary of his only Indy 500 win. He will drive the exact retro paint scheme. He will try to pursue a milestone that no driver has accomplished, win both the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400.

you see the on the mirrors and back wing Montoya is sponsored by budweiser, i didnt even notice the whole time he dominated and i was there in person,
a lot of ppl have lost a lot of money in indycar racing because there are no more beer or tobacco sponsers

....you heard his boss Chip Gannassi and commentator Jack Arute: "He is the best driver in the world!"

2000... The year when the reunification rumors had already begun... Ganassi returning I think is what started it all... And then Penske jumping ship was another sign. Had no idea that it wouldn't be til 2008 that we would be under one banner again.
Juan is one the best drivers in the world, in my mind he has a place in NASCAR. He's really shown he can adapt well to any situation. He's a special driver no doubt.

2000 ...and Montoya came and won!
..a historic year, the beginning of the millenium... 1st time driving an IRL car, 1st. time racing an IRL race, 1st. time racing a this track, 1st. time racing Indy 500, 1st. rookie to won in 34 years, most laps leaded by a rookie in Indy history.
¿Is there anything else to say about this magificent performance by Montoya in his 1st. appearance on this racing temple?
