I had no idea that the channel E use to play music. I remember when mtv use to. Now its just silly shows that has nothing to do with Music television that it once stood for.

I watched something on great bands and they came up. And this song white rabbit was if not the first then one of the first songs talking about drugs but since its theme was alice in wonderland they were able to play it on the radio and get away with it.

Yes, White Rabbit was about Alice in Wonderland, but it had many connotations of tripping on acid which is what the majority of their music revolved around. Probably the best time for drugs, when acid wasn't illegal and Jefferson Airplane would literally throw "buckets of acid into the crowd" (quote by Grace Slick).

You can experience this song without mushrooms or acid, because it's writed tonal notes and common variations as like 99% of the music "psychodelic", you will get the same effect as listening Debussy with acid, and then saying that to listen Debussy you need to be on acid is nuts.

You can also experience it with hallucinogens, but, with hallucinogens you can have the most awesome experience with a simple thing as a lava lamp.
