"Operation Mend," a unique new partnership between UCLA Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, has been established to help treat several U.S. military personnel wounded during service in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The pilot project was launched with the help of philanthropist Ronald A. Katz, a well-known inventor and UCLA Medical Center board member, who recognized that providing excellent care to injured soldiers need not be limited to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Armed Services. The project aims to serve as a model for other medical institutions interested in helping additional wounded service members.
Yeah this is great, pretty good idea. They can help more people.

I see Aaron everyday at the hospital. He was the first one to come and visit me when I first got to the hospital and he gave me motivation every day afterwards. Aaron is a truly kind and genuine person and I am proud to call him my friend. He deserves everything that the Army as well as UCLA is doing for him and he is truly lucky to have his wife and daughter standing by him everyday throughout these obstacles through which he is currently undergoing. I love you brother. Fight on.
