Some have dogged nerdcore for supposedly being "racist" or "making fun" of rap and rappers, but from what I have seen this is completely not true. All the nerdcore acts I've seen so far seem to have great respect and love for rap and its history, hence why they are making rap of their own. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

I agree completely. While there may be a few nerdcore rappers who might make racist comments and make fun of rap, they are not in the majority for sure.

I was at the concert in Harper's Ferry in Boston a couple weeks ago. It was SPECTACULAR. Both very talented musicians. Love the 'cat people' song and 'pitch black' most. Makes me proud to be a nerd!

Schaffer was telling me about the awesome show he had in Boston right before this show! Front's shows are always so much fun ^_^

I did tape another song Schaffer did (Dive Down, which was a bit on the dull side to be honest) and 2 more Front songs (I Heart Fags and Hassle the Dorkening), but the recording didn't turn out as well...not that this was great either, but at least my squeeling was kept under control

yeah, schaffer's not as universally excellent as front, but he has some really good gems. I was just listening to "the heckler" (from his album "Meet My Maker") and it's really funny. I guess it's what he sings to hecklers at this show. You should listen to it when those stupid 12 y.o.'s post comments saying you're ugly (which you're not!).

Yeah, right after he played in Boston, STD released his newest CD (Mark of the Beast). It has all the great songs on his Demo CD plus a bunch of other hilarious songs. I was nearly dieing when he started with Night of the Living Christ, and if I had any artistic skills, I would draw a little video to go along with the song...

Lol. Like mainstream hip hop isn't racist. The only reason someone would say that is responding to MC Lars's song "Generic Crunk Rap" which does rip the genre as a whole. I guess nerdcore may appear just as racist as mainstream because each is dominated by an opposite demographic. Fortunately, nerdcore is an open mic for anyone with the talent and the knowledge to make good material. Nerdcore FTW!!

Lars is my fav for sure, not as a nerdcore artist, but as a hip hop artist. he's the most musically talented and GOD he sounds GREAT!
